Curious George 2 – Review and Giveaway

by admin on March 1, 2010

My family and I recently received a copy of “Curious George 2 – Follow That Monkey”

curiousgeorge2

He’s back and still as curious as ever.

Curious George 2 – Follow that Monkey is the new animated sequel from the hit animated movie. Curious George and The Man with the Yellow Hat set out on a madcap cross-country adventure to reunite Kayla, a homesick elephant, with her family. As with all of the Curious George stories this one is full of mischief and lessons learned. They are traveling cross country, in and out of trains, and trucks, and even by foot on this journey, only be to caught for elephant napping, and brought back to New York!

I was really excited when this movie came. It was snowing and the kids were being crazy! I put the movie in right away and they were instantly transfixed. I DVR the Curious George episodes, so they already know what George is all about. Kayla loves that the elephant’s name is Kayla and they play their favorite scenes over and over. I loved Curious George as a child and my grandparents actually called me George when I was little. They said that I was always into things, so it fit.

There are some great bonus features:

- Two never before seen bonus shows from an all new season!

- Curious George’s Cross Country Caper Game.

- Coloring pages to print out and wallpaper

Curious George 2 – Follow that Monkey will be available on March 2, 2010. It’s is rated G and wide screen. The total running time is 81 minutes. For more information about Curious George you can go to www.curiousgeorge.com.

when my son was three, he drew all over the walls with crayons. When we slyly asked who did it…he pointed to our dog and blamed her.

My son once took a bunch of six bananas that we had on our counter, and while I wasn’t looking, peeled all of them and took a bite of each one!

When my youngest is finished eating — if we don’t clear her plate fast enough — she starts throwing her fork/spoon/plate/cup/everything!

Omg, where to begin?!

Konnor used to throw his toys over the balcony of our apartments. We live on the second story. He woke up early one morning, and by the time he decided to wake me up, half of his toybox was in the grass. THAT was embarrassing to have to clean up.

Also, there was an empty pill bottle that he threw over, that our neighbors picked up. Neighbors called the landlord and they came over to make sure he hadn’t eaten any pills. Oh my, that was a fiasco!

My twin boys (now 7 years old) began crawling out of their cribs at 16 months old to get to one another. So, we put their cribs together and even then, they’d still crawl out of one crib and into the other to be together. (NOT SAFE, lol) But we couldn’t put them down together in one crib as they’d never sleep.. needless to say, toddler beds were introduced very early!

I don’t have any Georgelike moments yet. My son is only 3 months old! Although, he does have a mischevious little grin that I’m sure I’ll see again when he does start to get more independence. I’d still love to win this movie, we’re a movie loving family! Thanks!

That would have to be the time I was talking on the phone and my daughter got into a whole big jar of vaseline and it was everywhere in her hair and it would not come out for at least a week she was 3 and it really was a mess

My 6yo son learned to climb the door jambs when he was about two. He’d just hold himself up at the top of the door and looked like a very naughty monkey, lol.

Saebbe Reidhead March 19, 2010 at 4:56 pm

My monkey is mischeivous. I was babysitting him and a friend and he decided to follow the dog to his grandpas house (just one lot up) He thought it was funny and so did grandpa but I freaked out!

My daughter wanted to know what would happen if crayons got wet. She poured a whole box of crayons in the toilette and said, “oooh, pretty!”

celia March 19, 2010 at 8:48 pm

Covering herself with a sharpie made my daughter look like curious George when mischievous.
